Dale Leroy Robison was born February 2, 1935, at rural Caney, the ninth of ten children to Neddie Jasper Robison and Ida Martha [[][[]]Fuqua] Robison. He was raised in the Tyro/Caney area, attending schools in Caney.
Dale enjoyed animals of all kinds and had a kindred spirit with horses. His family recalled he was a horse racing jockey, riding common breed and thoroughbred horses, running in over two thousand events during his career. Dale will be remembered locally around Caney for his love of animals, feeding his home-town dogs and cats. It was not unusual to see Dale walking from north-to-south, east-to-west in Caney, showing concern and caring for many family pets - never his own, but he would love them just the same.
