John Holyfield

John D Holyfield Jr age 98, of Caney passed away on July 3, 2017 at Windsor Place of Coffeyville.

John was born in Caney on May 17, 1919 to Mr and Mrs John D Holyfield. He attended and graduated from Caney High School and continued his education at Coffeyville Community College. John then joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served for two years before being honorably discharged. John met Catherine Elaine Gaut and the couple was united in marriage on May 19, 1967, she preceded him in death in 2011. John was a devoted husband and loved spending time with his wife, he was also a pilot and enjoyed being in the air.

John was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Graveside services under the direction of Potts Chapel of Caney, will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 11:00am at Havana Cemetery with Chaplain Mike Graham of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice officiating. To leave a message of condolence, please visit www.pottsfuneralhome.com
