John Owen

John Quency Owen, 81, of Caney, Kansas passed away peacefully at Cherryvale Nursing and Rehab Center in Cherryvale, Kansas on Monday, May 20, 2019.

John Quency Owen was born to John Franklin and Audie (Sisney) Owen April 7, 1938 in Oakland, Arkansas. They moved to Nuyaka, Oklahoma in 1940 then moved to Caney, Kansas in 1950. He had a love for all animals, loved to listen to country music and loved little children. Quency loved the many years he worked for Class LTD.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Audie Owen, brothers, Russel and Martin Owen, sisters, Bernease Bolden, and Rachel Hawthorne.

Quency's memory will carry on with his brothers, Oneil Owen of Bartlesville, OK, Gary Owen of Dewey, OK, sisters, Hazel Bowden of Alvin, TX, Fern Soles of Caney, KS and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas on Thursday, May 23rd at 10:00 with Pastor Bret Luallen officiating.
