Naomi E. McDonald, 79, rural Caney, Kansas passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Tyro Christian Church with Evangelist David Bycroft officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Tyro Christian Church and may be left with the Chapel. Naomi was born February 11, 1936 in Spavinaw, Oklahoma to Alva and Kathleen (Stokes) Duncan; she attended and graduated Oklahoma schools. Naomi married Rex McDonald on November 18, 1976 in San Angelo, Texas the couple later made their home in Caney. Naomi was very active in her Joy group with the Tyro Christian Church and with the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Caney.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald Henson, Overland Park, KS; Lonnie Henson, Orlando, Fl; Jonnie Henson, Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Bonnie Ashmore, and Jewell Williams both of Claremore, OK; several grandchildren and many extended family members and friends and her beloved dog Baby. Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, her husband Rex and one son Donald.
