Patricia Mae Stanbrough, 79, passed away peacefully Monday, January 11, 2016, at Windsor Place, Coffeyville, Kansas, after a long and wonderful life.
Patricia Mae (Ungles) Stanbrough was born March 17, 1936, in Cedar Vale, Kansas, to Wilburt Ernest Ungles and Stella Mae (Keller) Ungles. Patricia spent most of her life in the Kansas and Oklahoma area. Patricia's husband, Harry Stanbrough, preceded her in death in April, 2012.
Pat enjoyed painting and crocheting, leaving many beautiful pieces for her family to enjoy for years to come. You would seldom see her without a crochet hook in her hands. She also spent many hours researching and documenting family genealogy. Patricia was very proud of her family and had a special place in her heart for her furry family as well, especially dogs and cats. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh.
Patricia is survived by a daughter, Jancenta Sisson, Coffeyville, Ks., a son, Richard Sisson, T'bilisi Georgia, a daughter, Ilene Browning, Coffeyville, Ks., a brother, Carl W. Ungles of Ulysses, Ks., several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A graveside gathering to celebrate her life will be on Friday, January 15, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. Sunnyside Cemetery, Caney, Kansas.
Graveside celebration of life service is scheduled for 2:00pm Friday, January 15, 2016, at Sunnyside Cemetery, Caney, with Pastor Will Kenyon, Caney UMC officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Potts Chapel Funeral Home, Caney. The family has suggested memorials to Coffeyville Friends of Animals Shelter and Adoption Center, 4955 County Road 1400, P O Box 1654, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
