Private First Class Jacob Ryan Casebolt, Sedan, passed away November 8, 2018 at Fort Hood Texas.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Sedan High School Auditorium. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney, KS with full Military Honors. Visitation will be Friday, November 16th from 1:00pm-7:00pm, with family greeting friends 5-7pm at Potts Chapel in Caney Kansas.
Jacob Ryan Casebolt was born on September 9, 1997 in San Bernardino California. He was the son of Michael Casebolt and Brandi Pomeroy. Jacob graduated from the Sedan High School in 2016. He then joined the United States Army. He served as a Culinary Specialist. PFC Casebolt was deployed to Korea where he spent nine months. He earned the Army Achievement Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, National Service Medal and 2 certificates for Exceptional Meritorious Achievement.
He loved being a soldier and took so much pride in it. He loved playing baseball, cooking, fishing and hanging with friends.
Those preceding him in death are his uncle George Martin, nanna Shirley Casebolt and his grandfather Jim Wright.
Those left to cherish Jacob's memory are his mother, father, brothers: Jeffrey Binton of Highland, CA., Michael Casebolt of Missouri, Jeffrey Chadwell Jerald Chadwell of Sedan, KS, grandmother Robin Wright of San Bernardino, CA., and grandfather Dave Casebolt of Missouri.
