Phyllis Irene Wentworth, 88, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in the presence of her loving family in Dallas, Texas. She will forever be known for her love and dedication to family. She had three children, Steve Wentworth (wife Karen), Martha Farquharson (husband Robbie) and Marla Byrne (husband Brian), 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, E. J. (Gene) Wentworth and a grandson, Kevin Wentworth.
She traveled the western United States as the wife of an oil and gas landman, living in Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Denver, Colorado (three times); Casper Wyoming (three times); Bakersfield, California (twice); Billings, Montana; Anchorage, Alaska; Roswell, New Mexico; Midland, Texas (twice); and finally, Dallas, Texas. She worked for the Federal Housing Administration and the Social Security Administration and later in life took over her mother's business, Irene's Antiques of Distinction.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 19 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney, Kansas, under the direction of Potts Chapel.
