Shirley Clift

CANEY
Shirley Clift, 66, of Caney, Kansas, formerly of Independence, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016, at Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville.

Shirley Jeanne Renn was born January 30, 1950, in St Croix Falls, Wisconsin, the third of five children to Donald Edward Renn Sr and Dorothy Louise (Houser) Renn. Shirley was raised in Kansas, Colorado, and California while her dad was employed by Martin Marietta Aircraft. She graduated high school in 1969 in Huntington Beach, California. On December 10, 1971 she married Gerald Lawrence Clift Sr, in Huntington Beach.

Shirley was a homemaker, raising her two sons, Gerald ‘Gary' Lawrence Jr, and Gerald ‘Jerry' Raymond. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She will be best remembered for her pleasant personality. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors blessed by her memory are her husband, Gerald of the home, her two sons, Gary, Independence, KS, and Jerry, Skiatook, OK., two grand daughters Ashley and Samantha Clift, both in Independence;, brother Douglas Renn, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Donald Jr, Patricia, and Michael.

Visitation service will be from 6-to-8 pm, Friday, July 8, 2016, at Potts Chapel in Caney. Celebration of Life Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Potts Chapel in Caney. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery, Caney.
